ReadAll Command

The ReadAll command reads multiple tags at once and loads the results into a variable array.

ReadAll #1 from #2

where

This command will read all tags corresponding to the GEDCOM expression in #2 and load the contents of the results in #x[1]. #x[2], ... The variable #x[0] will be loaded with the number of results found.

This command is only needed when multiple tags need to be accessed. For example:

ReadAll "#chil" from @FAMS.CHIL

will read record IDs of all children of an individual in one family record. The number of children will be in #chil[0] and the record IDs will be in #chil[1], #chil[2], etc..

Notes

  1. If your intent with the return result is to repeat some task on each found tag, it is more direct to use the RepeatWith command instead.
