The reports in this extension look at ages of individual and compile statistical reports about your ancestors.
This option checks individuals and tabulates all those with known birth and death dates and therefore those with documented age at death. A table will summarize the results including information about the average lifespan, the earliest recorded birth date, and the individuals with the shortest and longest lifespans. In addition, it produces a bar chart of the distribution of ages at death.
Before creating the report, you can enter "all" or enter a minimum age for the report. "All" checks all individuals in the file. Entering a minimum age creates a distribution for conditional probability of age at death given you have already lived a specified number of years. For example, if you are 65 years old and researching your own ancestors, choosing "65" will create your personal expectation of lifespan as predicted by your genes (and good genetics is one predictor of long lifetimes).
This option checks family records looking got ages related to family events. It produces a table of results showing average age of spouses at marriage, average age of parent's when children were born, and youngest and oldest for each category as well. These statistical results can help you estimate the expected number of years per generation among your ancestors (see "Avg. Age at Childbirth").
